The following terms and conditions do not apply to foreign students who are admitted to an academic exchange programme (Erasmus, bilateral agreements) at the IAE Gustave Eiffel.
Countries with CEF procedure
Not all the IAE courses are available on the Etudes en France. For courses not included in Etudes en France, follow the usual application procedure on the IAE Gustave Eiffel website (see the page for the relevant course).
For all courses, the CEF procedure does not replace the IAE selection procedure. Applicants must take both steps if the training is open on Etudes en France. Download our application form and return it to us within the period specified. For the final decision, the IAE application form will take precedence over the CEF form.
Specific registration procedures. Admission conditions
The IAE Gustave Eiffel admission conditions can be found on the IAE website, under the “Admissions” section for the relevant course. They are the same for all students, regardless of their nationality and country of residence. However, students with a foreign degree should consider providing a translation of their degree certificate and the programme of courses taken (if the documents are not in French).
Applicants in their 3rd year Bachelor’s degree or 1st year Master’s. 3rd year Bachelor and 1st year Master students (except for the International Master’s in Business Administration) are required to take an eligibility test. Admission is conditional on their passing the Score IAE Message (SIM) test. When a passing centre exists in the student's country of residence, the SIM test is mandatory. If not, students are exempted. The procedures for registering for the SIM test and the list of out-of-country centres are available on the SIM test website (note that the list of out-of-country centres is liable to change).
Interview procedure. For all IAE courses, admission is subject to the applicant passing an interview with a interviewing panel. If agreed by the degree supervisor, the interview can be conducted by telephone or videoconference.
Language skills. Non-French-speaking students applying to an IAE programme whose courses are held in French must be able to show they have obtained at least level B2 in the European Reference Framework (CEFR) by providing one of the following documents: DELF B2; DALF C1; TCF B2 (with at least 12 in written expression and 10 in oral comprehension).
